One of the more popular styles of backpacks for kids is the shark backpack.  We have seen these in many different shark styles so you should have a variety to choose from.  Kids just adore sharks and I am sure they get their ideas from the many shark specials that are on TV nowadays.  The diver Jacques Cousteau and his adventures can still be seen by today’s kids as they have been for kids over many generations.  Now Jacques’ son is in the action.  Let’s face it, most kids love the ocean as well, and the sea and sharks go hand in hand as much as dolphins and the ocean do.  Most little kids truly love their shark backpacks.

We have seen these types of backpacks in black with several blue sharks on them, in grey with one big open mouth cartoonish shark and also in multi-colors with a shark stuffed toy as a clip on.  Anyway you can get it your child will completely enjoy getting a shark backpack for a present either for Christmas or his or her birthday.  It is possible to also get a shark backpack lunch box combo so your child has matching items.  Some kids find that to be really cool!  You’ll be very surprised how much your kid smiles when they get a backpack they like, especially if they talk about the ocean a lot and your kid is really into sharks, dolphins and whales.

Just remember to buy an appropriate size backpack for your child’s age and size.  It should have all of the pockets you anticipate it needs and have well padded shoulder straps.  Don’t send your kid to school with an overly loaded and heavy backpack and if he or she is coming home with one that is too heavy discuss whether they need everything they have in their backpack, or if something can be permanently removed.  Understandably your child will be proud of their new shark backpack and it may be hard to get them to take some stuff out of it.
