Fun Kids Backpacks

Many parents are looking for fun kids backpacks.  But what really would make a fun backpack?  What is fun to a small child may not seem fun to an adult.  As a parent or grandparent shopping for a kid’s bag it is important to think like your child.

For a young kid just starting to go to school or on trips of any kind, a brand new cool backpack is one of the most exciting things they can receive.  A kid tends to get very familiar and loving toward his or her new backpack, especially if it is in a theme that they like or has a character on it that they enjoy.  To a kid, that in itself is a fun backpack!  Little kids will carry around a favorite backpack as they would any toy they have fun with.

As a first fun backpack for a young child they might enjoy lots of color and a kid-friendly style, such as those adorned with monkeys, motorcycles, flowers, giraffes, whales, or other animals, and with only a few well made easy to zipper pockets, for their goodies.  Many of the fun backpacks for the really young are not meant for a bunch of books but more for daycare toys and necessities or for play dates.  We have seen colorful ones with stuffed animals velcroed to them, which could be really fun for a young child, who would be very proud of that type of backpack.  Basically, a theme that the child adores is your best choice for a fun kids backpack.

Kids who do want to have fun with their backpack will tend to fill them with small toys, crayons, notebooks, and maybe a blanket.  Young kids love to have their own bag when going on a trip with mom or dad.  Some of the fun backpack styles currently in vogue are adorned with mermaids, pirates, princesses, dancers, polka dots and dogs.  Kids love to walk around with a backpack that makes a statement about what they like.

When looking for a backpack look for a sturdy one, so that it lasts awhile.  As well you will want one with an easy-to-clean interior and very durable padded straps with enough room to hold a variety of activities, books and snacks, depending on the bags intended use and the size of your child.
