In a baby backpack, the compartments that are normally there to fit a sleeping bag, food, water, clothes and emergency first aide kit are not present, but there will be one larger sitting compartment for your baby and some accessory pockets for baby things, like diapers, bottles, clothes and baby hygiene products.  Some of these types of backpacks come with a bottom rack to turn the backpack into a baby’s highchair when turned over and placed on the ground.  Your baby backpack may also have a canopy to keep the sun off of the baby, which is a very good idea.  If it has no canopy you will need to use a cap on the child and sunscreen.
